DOHA: Qatar has jumped to 86 in FIFA world rankings, their highest
ever climb in recent years.

Ranked 100 at the end of last FIFA rankings issued a month, Qatar have

jumped an unprecedented 14 spots in the monthly ranking.

Qatar, now coached by Djamel Belmadi, have accumulated 361 points.

Just four days after winning the FIFA World Cup for the fourth
time, Germany have jumped to number one ranking, according to the
world governing body.

Germany deposed 2010 FIFA World Cup champions Spain from the top spot,
according to the latest FIFA rankings.

United States who impressed with their pre-quarterfinal run, fell two
places to 15th.

Joachim Loew-coached Germany beat Argentina 1-0 on Sunday to win its
first World Cup title in 24 years. Substitute Mario Goetze scored the
only goal of the final in extra time.

Argentina jumped three places to the No. 2 ranking and the Netherlands
soared 12 spots to No. 3 after beating host Brazil in the third-place
game.

The Americans, who lost to Belgium in their first knockout game, were
overtaken in the rankings by the Dutch, Chile and France.

In Asian rankings, Japan are number one followed by Iran. Uzbekistan
are placed third while Korea are fourth in Asia. UAE are placed fifth
in Asia.

Qatar are ranked number 11 in Asia.
